First Real Blog…

I have two followers and so this is more cathartic than anything else. I am a twenty-six-year-old man at the cusp of discovering where it is I fit in it all. LIfe has been interesting. Home life wasn’t terrible. We struggled a little, but what else can you expect when your father leaves your mother to take care of everything and takes care of his new family before he ever thought of his first. As far as the rest of my childhood? I had great grades in school, I was active, coached some amazing and championship winning football teams, received a great scholarship to Florida State. Just as the ball started rolling I suffered the greatest loss I have yet to experience, followed by the birth of the most amazing baby girl a man could ever dream of. New found love and marriage gave way to divorce and strife. In the midst of that I found the person I thought would be it for me. The true love of my life. As that came crumbling down, I sat in the wreckage, wallowing in self-pity, meandering around in search of answers, I fell apart. I cannot honestly sit here and tell you that I have completely put myself together again. It is more along the lines of “I’m in repair.” I don’t want it to seem as though I am drudging about like a Romero Zombie. It is far from the case. I am spending so much more time with my family now. It is such a great experience. My sister and I are back to the way we used to be. Best Friends. And with the amazing friends and spectacular daughter, in repair is way better than “I’ve got it all figured out” ever was.
